Following the huge success of last year’s BBC writersroom Drama Writers’ Festival, the BBC is delighted to announce that the Festival will be running again at The Leeds College of Music between July 6^th and July 7^th 2011.

This is a unique opportunity for writers with at least one broadcast credit to mix and mingle with their peers, and to attend workshops, masterclasses and discussion panels involving the top writing, commissioning, producing, and directing talent working in television drama today.

Writers contributing will include this year’s Chair Paula Milne and a keynote from Jimmy McGovern. With Tony Marchant, Toby Whithouse, Stephen Butchard, Hugo Blick, Jack Thorne, Sarah Phelps, Danny Brocklehurst, Ashley Pharoah, Matthew Graham, Bill Gallagher, Gwyneth Hughes, Justin Chadwick and Alice Nutter. Commissioners and producers will include Ben Stephenson, Polly Hill, Jane Featherstone, Nicola Shindler, Hilary Salmon, Madonna Baptiste and John Yorke.
